Control over your own video feed is extremely important to us. We want users to have complete control over their own social media platform.
Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) March 27, 2014
Social freedom and social privacy – that is what the new social video network Oogor.com promises its users as it prepares to launch with help from its Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign ending April 27. The campaign, hoping to raise $150,000, will help develop the site and corresponding app, both of which will offer live and timed video, video messages to groups, and private video chat. Oogor.com will be completely free and allow users to exert absolute control over their own video feed.
Loading video and putting it in the hands of the intended audience will be quick and easy with Oogor.com, which will work on all devices – including smart phones, tablets, computers, and laptops. The platform will allow users to share videos with a single person, a designated group of people, or the entire world. “Our product makes it easy to create groups and networks,” said the company’s CEO Moe Quraishi. “Groups can also be moderated.”
Oogor.com will also have a GPS video chat feature that allows users to find other users within their area and also allows the option of entering advanced search criteria. “This feature is ideal for finding friends and making new business and personal relationships,” said Quraishi.
Oogor will enable users to time recorded videos and choose who can see them. “Control over your own video feed is extremely important to us,” said Quraishi. “We want users to have complete control over their own social media platform.” Another feature of Oogor.com will allow users to create private groups and participate in live video chat consisting of up to ten people. “By passing the chat microphone among users, noise clutter will be reduced and real communication will take place,” said Quraishi.
The company’s crowdfunding campaign invites supporters of every level with most contributors receiving a free t-shirt. Starting at the $500 level, supporters will be invited to test Oogor.com at the beta level. At the $1,000 level, supporters will be invited to the company’s launch party in Hollywood, and supporters at the $1,500 level will receive not only a launch party invitation but also free transportation, hotel, and dinner. “Once we get the network launched, we have a long list of features to add over time, including school and business connection areas,” said Quraishi.
Oogor.com is a new social network experience based on user videos and guaranteeing both freedom and privacy. Users will be able to participate from anywhere in the world from any type of device, including smart phones, laptops, computers, and tablets. Founders Moe Quraishi and Alex Okandzi plan to hire the best developers to create this new social outlet.
