Milwaukee, WIS (PRWEB) April 07, 2014
Plastic Components, Inc., announced today that it has been named as one of the 2014 Best Places to Work in Plastics. The list was created by Plastics News and Best Companies Group. According to the Plastics News report published, Plastic Components, Inc. ranked #9 on this distinguished list.
Plastic Components, Inc. was founded in 1989 in a 10,000 square ft. facility with 3 molding presses and a plan to build a “fully-automated” manufacturing facility as a low cost, world-class producer of small & medium sized plastic injection molding parts. The company has grown to include 3 facilities, totaling over 75,000 square ft., shipping over 70,000,000 parts per month to customers all over the world.
“We are honored to be included in a remarkable line-up of Plastics News’ 2014 Best Places to Work honorees,” said Ryan Duffey, Vice President of Plastic Components, Inc. “It’s humbling to know that the honest, anonymous feedback from our employees contributed to such positive recognition for our company, the city of Germantown and the greater Milwaukee area.”
Best Companies Group solicits employee and management input via a detailed survey in order to gather data for the no-cost Best Places To Work award application. Employer responses count for 25% of the grading and employee feedback accounts for 75%. Firms are assessed based on subjects such as leadership and planning, corporate culture and communication, role satisfaction, work environment, training and development, pay and benefits and more.
“If you want to know if it’s a great place to work, ask the employees what they think,” said Peter B. Burke, president of Harrisburg, Pa.-based Best Companies Group. “That is exactly what we did to identify the organizations that made Plastics News’ inaugural list. High employee engagement is no accident. It’s a concerted effort by managers and employees alike to create environments where all associates love to come to work.”
