Care Indeed, a California-based leading provider of home care services, is giving back to the community with relief efforts to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. The company launched a fundraising campaign last December in response to Typoon Haiyan’s devastation.

Mirabelle Nanette Liston, Care Indeed’s Quality Assurance Supervisor, is scheduled to visit Tacloban City, Philippines, on April 1 to 4. Ms. Liston is set to conduct activities which include breakfast feeding, grocery and medicine packs distribution, and vitals check for the elderly.

Care Indeed has been actively involved in the community here in the Bay Area. Reaching out to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan has been its first attempt to go international. During the fundraising event last year, a video that depicted the havoc wreaked by Typhoon Haiyan was shown. Dee Bustos, Care Indeed’s CEO, said, “The video is only 2 minutes and 52 seconds long but it captures images which portray one of the greatest stories ever told; humanity's willingness to help, and the survivors' absolute courage to move on and rebuild their lives. The video is a story of love and new beginnings. And I'm so proud that Care Indeed, and all of you who have donated to our fundraising event, have been a part of this story. The times are challenging for these survivors but with help pouring in from around the world, I see a great ending to this story.”

Care Indeed is owned by Filipinos. Dee Bustos, the CEO, is a Licensed Vocational Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies, and an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science. Vanessa Valerio, the VP and COO for Patient Care, is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management. They created Care Indeed with a sense of purpose beyond making money: a commitment to excellence in senior care, and a desire to provide employment to deserving healthcare professionals.
