Chocolate Rain Shop is making Easter chocolates and gift baskets, and is participating in fundraising for the Loft Artists Association of Stamford.

Chocolate Rain Shop is celebrating the Easter holiday with some new chocolates by participating in a fundraising event. During the month of April, they will have Easter chocolates and gift baskets available and they will be participants in the fundraising event for the Loft Artists Association (LAA) of Stamford.

The LAA has served the Stamford community since 1978 as a cultural institution that nurtures artists, provides children and families with workshops, engages the public in an open dialogue about the creative process and helps build the artistic identity of the City of Stamford.

Included in the LAA’s 2014 schedule will be their new Summer Workshop Series, offered to the children of the South End and the community at large. Their first annual fundraiser, which Chocolate Rain Shop will be participating in, will help support the Summer Workshop Series and will be held in April. Chocolate Rain Shop will provide a chocolate donation to serve the 100-125 attendees.

In 2014, the LAA will also offer workshops to the afterschool programs at The Lathan Wider Community Center and The Trailblazers Academy. Their weekend Draw On workshop sessions for children and parents will also be offered for the fifth consecutive year.

LAA is comprised of 42 members, including painters, photographers, ceramists, jewelers and mixed-media artists that produce eight exhibits each year that are free and open to the public. Their well-known annual institutional event, Open Studios, invites the community to meet the artists, tour the studios and view the creative process first hand. This event has historically attracted thousands of people from the tri-state area.

LAA also partners with many local not-for-profit organizations to help raise funding through art sales. Their most important contribution to the cultural development of the community is the workshop program and the ability to offer free sessions to the underserved population of South End neighbors and also the entire Stamford community.

Chocolate Rain Shop is looking forward to participating in the fundraising event for LAA and contributing to the great cause. For more information, visit
