Braun To Launch New E-Z 02 Lift at FDIC 2014
Van Wert, Ohio (PRWEB) April 01, 2014 -- Over the last 42 years, Braun Industries has made a name for itself as a leader in custom ambulance design by focusing on unique innovations for their emergency vehicles. Their SolidBody™ Construction process produces some of the safest ambulances on the road, reducing weight and adding strength to the box which is built as one integrated module. Their EZ Glide™ Sliding Door also revolutionized the industry by eliminating a swinging door in lieu of one that opens snug against the body, removing blind spots and line of sight obstacles to provide easy in-and-out access to the module. Now more than ever, Braun Industries is focused on increasing safety and optimizing job efficiency. They are proud to announce their latest innovation, the E-Z 02 Lift – a compact oxygen cylinder lift and storage compartment.
Braun Industries is set to debut the new E-Z 02 Lift at FDIC 2014. The E-Z 02 Lift will be shown on a Chief XL Type I demo ambulance in Braun Booth # 3357. FDIC exhibits in the Indiana Convention Center will be open April 10th from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, April 11th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and April 12th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Visitors can stop by during those hours for a personal demonstration of the oxygen tank storage compartment and hydraulic lift in action. For those that cannot attend the show, they can find more information on Braun’s website or by contacting a local Braun ambulance dealer to schedule a demo at their department.
While an oxygen cylinder lift is not a revolutionary idea in the EMS industry, Braun engineers spent much time evaluating the current market options and improving on them for the design and release of the E-Z 02 Lift. This built-in hydraulic cylinder lift offers a smaller footprint than traditional lifts. It is also less cumbersome than an electric scissor lift option.
The E-Z 02 Lift utilizes a nitrogen filled gas spring to raise and lower the bottle into a stowed position without electrical components. This addresses a very important safety concern for EMS workers that previously had to manually load heavy oxygen bottles into their emergency vehicle. A 2012 study from NAEMT reports that “half of all EMS workers suffer back pain annually”, and “one out of four EMS practitioners will suffer a career-ending back injury within the first four years of service”. This new, easy-to-use oxygen lift from Braun aims to reduce back injuries and downtime, and improve the working environment for EMTs and Paramedics.
Always seeking to optimize the module’s layout, the bottle is stored on the compartment door which maximizes storage space on the inside for life-saving equipment. In addition, the spring lift reduces compartment damage when stowing bottles, as it carefully moves and stores the oxygen cylinders in a controlled manner.
The E-Z 02 Lift will be available for integration into all Braun ambulance models. Departments concerned about the forthcoming NFPA 1917 standards are encouraged to include the E-Z 02 Lift option in their next emergency vehicle design and purchase. A cost-effective solution over competitor lift systems, the E-Z 02 Lift is a new Braun innovation worth looking into.
“Our industry is continuously seeking improvements and efficiency gains in crew safety and in the delivery of services to the patient. The E-Z O2 Lift is already gaining widespread interest as a tool to aid in that pursuit. Launching meaningful innovations that create value for the customer, is just one element of our long-term vision of being THE premium ambulance provider, recognized for quality products focused on occupant safety.” Kim Braun, President / Owner.
