Kiev, Ukraine (PRWEB) April 01, 2014
Founder Ihor Pidruchny has launched the Ukrainian Information Technology (IT) Development Center today in hopes to raise awareness to promote the Ukrainian IT industry. The program will feature a social media campaign on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to encourage interaction with Ukrainian IT talent. The initiative’s mission is to let the world know that despite the current political situation, the Ukrainian IT industry is going strong.
According to the Central and Eastern European Outsourcing Association, in 2013 Ukraine ranked first among the countries of Central and Eastern Europe in terms of "best market value in IT-outsourcing" and "the largest number of staff employed in IT.” This year Ukrainian companies will export computer and information services worth $764.2 million, up last year from $464.2 million dollars. In 2014, the Ukrainian IT industry is expected to grow 20 percent.
“We would like to let all the U.S.-based supporters of improvements in Eastern Europe know that our day-to-day work has not been affected by the political situation. Every day we help startups and entrepreneurial clients realize their business goals and stay competitive,” said Ihor Pidruchny, an IT activist and entrepreneur, who is spearheading the initiative. “Now with democratic changes, Ukrainian software development outsourcing will be able to offer even more value to U.S. companies, who turn to us for our excellent quality at competitive costs.”
Pidruchny, who founded LEZGRO Engineering Incubator and LEZGRO Software Development, has consulted for the IT Committee of the Ukrainian Parliament and launched several of his own start-ups including Socionics.io.
“By supporting software development with Ukraine software engineering talent, U.S. start-ups are able to compete against more established companies,” added Pidruchny. “Our high-quality talent pool is growing to meet the demand for our services and is second to none.”
“We have developed in other countries over the past several years, but we find Ukrainian developers have a unique balance of skills, candor, and commitment that it takes to deliver results on time and on budget,” said Thomas O’Malley, CEO, Convetit.com. “And the latest couple of months were flawless, despite the revolutionary situation in Ukraine.”
