Rexam director of technology Lisa Carroll said: “Rexam is proud to support the World Beverage Innovation Awards for the second year running.
“Just as the World Beverage Innovation Awards puts innovation at the heart of the industry, we place innovation at the heart of our business. We endeavour to constantly push the boundaries and continually develop our products, service and processes to give our customers a competitive edge. It’s great to be involved once again and we look forward to seeing this year’s entries from across the world.”
Now in its 10th year, the World Beverage Innovation Awards at BrauBeviale is in association with Unesda, the Union of European Beverages Associations, Wafg, the German non-alcoholic drinks trade association, and BrauBeviale – the world's largest beverage industry trade event.
The awards feature 25 categories from product categories including Best juice or juice drink and Best functional drink, to Best ready to drink coffee and Best new beverage concept; plus categories for brands; ingredients; packaging; design; manufacturing and processing; sustainability; and marketing and communications. The 2013 awards, presented at Drinktec, attracted over 370 entries from 40 countries.
“We are delighted that Rexam is once again supporting the industry’s most established awards scheme,” said FoodBev Media director Bill Bruce. “This is the 10th anniversary of our awards scheme in the international beverage industry and comes at a time when the pace of change has never been faster, or the challenges greater. We are expecting to see all the major trends from ingredients to packaging and environmental responsibility reflected in the entries and look forward to celebrating the best innovation and creativity from around the world.”
FoodBev Media has signed a three year agreement with Nuremberg Messe to stage the presentation of finalists and winners at a special event during the world's largest beverage industry trade event – BrauBeviale 2014 – in Nuremberg, Germany.
