R2integrated, a Baltimore-based digital marketing and technology agency, has formed a team of cyclists to participate in the May 3 Greater Chesapeake Tour de Cure, the American Diabetes Association’s largest fundraiser to help stop diabetes. As part of its fundraising efforts to meet its $5,000 team goal, r2i will be hosting a happy hour event from 5-8 p.m. at Sotta Sopra, one of Baltimore’s contemporary Italian restaurants.
The event will feature live music, happy hour food and drink specials, a raffle and guest bartending by r2i’s Co-Founder, Chris Chodnicki, and Marketing Coordinator, Adam Blake. Tickets are $20/person and can be purchased in advance or at the door and include one drink and one raffle ticket. All ticket proceeds as well as bar tips will benefit the Tour de Cure.

The American Diabetes Association provides community-based education programs, protects the rights of people with type I and type II diabetes and funds critical research for a cure to these diseases which affect more than 26 million people living in the U.S. “We all know someone living with diabetes and we chose this cause as one we would support this year as a team,” says Chris Chodnicki. “Supporting our local ADA chapter has brought about some friendly competition among the Baltimore tech community which makes this even more fun and we look forward to riding as a team and one community on May 3 during Tour de Cure.”
Sotta Sopra, located on North Charles Street, will serve as the venue for the r2i team’s biggest fundraising effort. Executive Chef Riccardo Bosio shares, “We look forward to hosting a fun event for a local business that will have a much broader impact for the deserving diabetes community. It’s our pleasure to have even created special menu items for this happy hour event.”
