New at Summit Racing Equipment: MSD Racepak Sportsman Data Logger Kit
Tallmadge, OH (PRWEB) March 28, 2014 -- Professional-class data logging for Sportsman, Super Comp, Super Gas, and bracket class racers. MSD’s Racepak Sportsman Data Logger Kit is based on the same hardware and software used in the pro-class Racepak data loggers.
The four included plug-and-play sensors read and record engine rpm, battery voltage, acceleration G's, and lateral G's at 100 samples per second. The data is downloaded to a removable SD card. To view the data, just plug the card into a laptop computer—the included Datalink II software will let you see how your engine and car are reacting during a run, allowing you to tune the changes in for better performance.
The Racepak Sportsman Data Logger Kit can record a total of six data channels using Racepak’s plug-in V-Net modules. These sensor and cable kits are available for monitoring various engine and driveline functions. Racers can upgrade a Sportsman Data Logger to record up to 18 V-Net data channels with optional two- or four-channel packages. The modules and channel upgrades are available by special order from Summit Racing.
The Racepak Sportsman Data Logger requires a V-Net cable and a driveshaft collar to record G-force levels, not included.
