Addition to Leadership Team Expands Company Expertise in Health Care Delivery and Opens New Opportunities for Partnerships with Providers and Manufacturers

Today Allayo announced the addition of a new member to the company board of directors. Allayo, known for their innovative virtual health assistant app which was acclaimed at HealthBeat 2013 as one of the coolest new apps, provides health care consumers with an easier way to understand and act on their personal health information and assistance in arranging for appointments, prescription refills, lab work, and more. The mobile app provides a single point of coordination for personal health that also lets consumers win gifts and rewards for their healthy behaviors.

Joining the Allayo board of directors is Ronald Martell. For more than 25 years, Ron has built and managed unique businesses in the biotech industry. Ron is currently a founder of two life sciences companies, IGIstat and Cetya Pharmaceuticals. His recent experience includes the leadership of NeurogesX as President and CEO and Poniard Pharmaceuticals as Chief Executive Officer. Before joining Poniard he served as Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at ImClone Systems where he built ImClone Systems' Commercial Operations and field sales. His prior experience also includes more than10 years at Genentech in a variety of positions, the last of which was Group Manager, Oncology Products, launching Herceptin® and Rituxan®.
