San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) March 31, 2014 -- FORA.tv Studios, producers of original, compelling video programs, today announced the debut of an original video series "Pot Goes Public." The series provides different perspectives on the business prospects for legal marijuana through interviews with key industry players, and will be available to watch on FORA.tv at fora.tv/potgoespublic.
The first video in the series, "Profits from Pot: Investing and Legalization," features a conversation with Christian Groh, COO and co-founder of Privateer Holdings, a private equity firm focused on the cannabis marketplace. Hosted by Michael Montgomery, reporter and producer at The Center for Investigative Reporting and KQED Public Radio, the conversation covers the evolution of the pot industry, and the business opportunities that Privateer Holdings has pursued. Groh details Privateer Holdings' latest venture in Canada that will provide medical-grade cannabis to consumers under the Health Canada law slated to take effect April 1, 2014. The operation will be located in a warehouse on Vancouver Island and will produce an estimated 20,000 pounds of medicinal marijuana in the first twelve months.
"'Pot Goes Public' marks the debut of original videos from FORA.tv Studios. In the expert hands of Michael Montgomery, the series will explore many of the emerging business, legal and social issues of marijuana moving into the mainstream," said Blaise Zerega, FORA.tv CEO.
Additional videos will be added to the "Pot Goes Public" series in the coming weeks. The second episode features an interview with Sir Richard Branson. Visit fora.tv/potgoespublic to watch the latest installments.
