Playground Designers, Playground Imagineering Launch New E Commerce Website.
Bolton, Lancashire (PRWEB) March 31, 2014 -- Playground Imagineering are an innovative playground design company based in Bolton, Lancashire.
The Lancashire play equipment firm design, build and install their own unique playground equipment throughout the UK.
Other clients include local authorities, pubs, restaurants, theme parks and garden centres.
Established in 2008 by Robin Harwood the school playground designers were previously known as Harwood Imagineering, their name was later changed to the more appropriate Playground Imagineering.
Since forming in 2008 the company has soon become one of the premier designers and suppliers of playground furniture for schools.
Unusually for play equipment specialists all pieces are made in the UK.
Their product range is vast and includes 'off-the-shelf' products or custom made playground furniture which can be designed to fit unusual or small spaces.
The range includes natural playgrounds which are available with a free site survey and a bespoke design service as well as a varied selection of wooden or recycled plastic playground benches.
Playground shelters are another speciality and these include pergolas, waiting shelters, cycle shelters and shade sails.
John Hughes (Director) was asked “What makes your company different?”
He answered, “Unlike many other companies we do everything including design, building and installation. All of our play equipment and materials are made right here in the UK and our customers are given a dedicated point of contact who handles the project from start to finish. This allows us to build up a strong relationship with the client and makes sure that the project manager knows the job inside out.”
Mr. Hughes was asked “Why the new website?”
John replied, “Our current site doesn't have any pay online facilities, it could be changed but we prefer it to stay more design focussed and concentrate on our bespoke services. We receive many enquiries for certain products through our current website which we could ship without taking a detailed brief or completing a site survey.”
“The team got together and collated all the enquiries we had received. A lot of them were sent to us out of office hours and many were for similar products. We selected all the products we believed would be popular and could be shipped without quoting,” added Mr. Hughes.
“From our discussions with customers we realised that many are time-pressured and can't always contact us during the normal working day. We wanted to create a positive shopping experience for customers who just wanted to repeat orders without making a call,” explained John.
He continued “We also thought that some new customers may prefer to order certain products online instead of speaking to someone.”
Playground have chosen the E Commerce platform known as Volusion for its ease of use and built in payment processing option.
Volusion have various packages which allow monthly payments so a large initial investment isn't required.
A loyalty point scheme is being considered for the new site to reward regular customers.
Additionally the option to discount the first and second orders are also being considered to help increase sales and repeat business.
The new site is due for launch at the end of April and will initially feature furniture, games and sports and adventure trail pieces.
