Pleasanton, CA (PRWEB) April 01, 2014

Bidding Ace, Inc. today announced the first sale of its kind, offering online bidding in conjunction with a live showcase at this week’s Sun-N-Fun event in Lakeland, Florida. The owner of a Tango 2 experimental airplane will have their aircraft on display at the event during which time interested buyers will be able to inspect the airplane and make immediate online offers using the BiddingAce marketplace system. The final winning bidder will be determined on Sunday, April 6, at 2:00pm local Lakeland time.

More than 100,000 aviation enthusiasts are expected to attend the annual Sun-n-Fun event, which offers a variety of activities, pavilions, forums, and demonstrations for general aviation. BiddingAce will be accepting online bids for the Tango 2 airplane during the event in conjunction with live viewings of this unique aircraft conducted by its owner, Helen Helpling. “I’m really excited to be working with BiddingAce and their new online marketplace,” said Helpling. “I like the fact that potential buyers can compete to purchase my airplane by submitting bids online through the BiddingAce system and that BiddingAce is working with organization such as AOPA, EAA, Trade-a-Plane, and AeroSpace Reports to help promote my airplane and complete a successful transaction.”

Helpling is an avid aviation enthusiast. She competed and finished in the top 10 at the 2013 Air Race Classic that spanned more than 2,000 miles in four days and is the builder of the Tango 2 being sold at Sun-N-Fun. The airplane is a single-engine piston featuring a Lycoming IO-360 engine with just 15 hours, EFIS1200 GPS, Garmin SL-30 Nav/Com, 2 seats, and a useful load of 850lbs. Interested buyers will be able to review the airplane on site at Sun-N-Fun and if interested can place immediate bids using the BiddingAce online marketplace.

“Helen is demonstrating a modern and new approach to selling her airplane,” said Tom Henn, Co-Founder and CEO of Bidding Ace. “She recognizes how important the Internet has become in reaching a broad marketplace and in conducting real transactions like this one. Today’s savvy buyer will use the Internet for researching almost all purchases, and with BiddingAce, these buyers can now submit binding offers to make a purchase for general aviation aircraft.”
