Attorney Jason Waechter Launches New Biker Card
Southfield, MI (PRWEB) March 31, 2014 -- Jason Waechter, a Michigan attorney known as The Motorcycle Lawyer by fellow bikers, is committed to helping injured people. That’s why this spring, he and his team have launched a new Biker Card that could help save lives on the scene of a motorcycle crash, as well as getting cardholders sweet discounts and freebies at over 100 vendors in and around Michigan.
“We are committed to giving back to the biker community,” says Waechter. “My goal is to help injured people, but if I see an opportunity to possibly prevent an injury from happening, I have to take it. That’s why we are launching these new Biker Cards. It’s not just about the deals we’ve negotiated with vendors, it’s about trying to potentially keep crash victims and bystanders safe at the scene of a crash.” Waechter has headed up several motorcycle awareness campaigns in Michigan, and provides a wealth of free information via his website.
Waechter’s firm is the only one in Michigan to be approved by Accident Scene Management, Inc., to offer Accident Scene Management Classes. These classes focus on three primary goals: reduce injuries and deaths at motorcycle crash scenes; reduce rescuer injury at the scene of a crash; and train bystanders to tend to the injured at a crash scene, enhancing EMS effectiveness.
The biker card is printed with PACT, an acronym that helps people remember the priorities of a crash scene: Prevent further injury; Assess the situation; Contact EMS; and Treat the injured with life-sustaining care. The cards also contain the basics of first aid, the ABCs: Airway; rescue Breathing; Control bleeding. Waechter’s contact information is printed directly on the card as well, so riders or their loved ones know who to call if they fall. “Ultimately, we want people to get this information out to people so they have it when they need it, regardless if it’s what to do on the scene of a crash or who to call for help after the fact,” says Waechter.
In addition to this important safety information, cardholders can show their card at any of over 100 vendors in and around Michigan to get freebies or discounts on food, products, and services.
“These Biker Cards aren’t just for bikers. The information on the cards could be helpful to anybody who arrives on the scene of a crash,” says Waechter. He adds, “and who doesn’t like getting freebies and discounts?”
