Hawaii Life Flight Awarded NAAMTA Medical Transport Re-Accreditation

Following a comprehensive audit of administrative documentation, medical practices and facilities, the National Accreditation Alliance of Medical Transport Applications (NAAMTA) is awarding Hawaii Life Flight (HLF) with medical transport accreditation for their fixed and rotor-wing program.

Following a comprehensive audit of administrative documentation, medical practices and facilities, the National Accreditation Alliance of Medical Transport Applications (NAAMTA) is awarding Hawaii Life Flight (HLF) with medical transport accreditation for their fixed and rotor-wing program. As a result, Hawaii Life Flight continues its NAAMTA Alliance membership, and thus is privy to the associated benefits.

Hawaii Life Flight demonstrated compliance in each of the numerous standards, offering documentation on processes for safety, aviation, and medical practices. NAAMTA found their compliance to be evident through employee interviews, on-site evaluations, and process reviews, all of which were conducted using the prestigious International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 auditing guidelines.

“Third party objective oversight of the accreditation body is essential to assure non-biased organizational appraisal,” comments Mark Leggett, HLF’s Medical Department Chief. “This sets NAAMTA apart from other accreditation entities, and that is important.”
