Providence, RI and Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) March 30, 2014 -- According to American novelist James Michener, St. Lucia’s Marigot Bay is "The most beautiful bay in the Caribbean." According to Barry Preston of Providence RI-based Preston-Giuliano Capital Partners, Sarasota’s former Bermuda Estates apartment complex “has some of the same elements in its tropical themed architecture and vegetation. But it is the experience of water – the pool, the waterfall, the spa, and the lagoons – that’s what convinced us we could re-create the complex as Marigot Bay.”
Purchasing the property in 2012, the new owners are dedicated to attending to the transformation from Bermuda Estates to Marigot Bay. Among the first evidence of the transition? The newly designed and installed signage positioned at the entrance at 4001 South Taggart Cay just off Macintosh Road. Settled among lush new landscaping, the community entrance subtly reflects the regatta atmosphere found on the island of St. Lucia. The property’s logo introduces an inspired blend of neutrals and primary color accents with its three yachts leaning into the breeze.
Of course the new name and signage is just one step in the path to recreating Marigot Bay. Preston added that “even though, as Bermuda Estates, the property was considered class A, there were some image issues that developed under the previous ownership and management. We felt we could overcome those problems by modeling the community on the concept of lush landscaping, relaxing water features, a carefree lifestyle and quality management.”
While emphasizing the convenient location of the community and large floor plans of the homes, PGCP is rapidly moving ahead on improvements. A Victorian inspired poolside pavilion and pebble beach will soon provide a shady spot for residents to relax, eat, check e-mail, mingle, or keep an eye on their children at the pool. It will feature two outside decks, bar height tables and chairs, and a central island where residents can get a cold beverage and watch the game. Ceiling fans and louvered panels will keep air circulating and breezes blowing, just as they do at St. Lucia’s Marigot Bay.
Also already completed or underway are a new color scheme for the exterior of the clubhouse, new lighting and exercise machines in the fitness center, fencing and landscaping in the pool area, lush new landscaping along Macintosh Road and new paving, lighting and hand rails in the auto court.
