Expansion into South Africa unlocks new opportunities for both organizations.

"Customers are price sensitive but demand advanced technology. Ephesoft and Firstcoast Technologies will strive to dominate this market segment.”

Ephesoft Inc., an industry leader in providing Smart Capture™ advanced document solutions, today announced a new partnership with Firstcoast Technologies of South Africa, adding another reliable and strategic link to Ephesoft’s worldwide network of solutions providers.

Firstcoast Technologies’ PaperfreeWeb Capture platform is a cloud-based software service well known for its flexibility and cost effectiveness. The software’s powerful character recognition engines automatically classify, separate, sort and extract data from any documents. The recognition and extraction of hard copy data includes printed text, handwriting, optical marks and barcodes. Metadata is created from this extracted data and can be applied automatically into your document archive, or passed into other records databases such as SAP, Pastel and Oracle. Firstcoast’s new partnership with Ephesoft represents a commitment to leadership in the document capture industry of the EMEA region.

Ephesoft’s cloud-based and on-premise solutions boast a non-volume centered licensing model, potentially saving customers thousands of dollars. Firstcoast leaders say Ephesoft’s approach resonates with its customers.

“Ephesoft’s capture solution offers the right combination as a browser based application, with a non-volume based license model,” says Grant Stott, Director of Firstcoast Technologies. “They support processing of any type of document, be it forms, invoices, proof of delivery or completely unstructured documents in a single license model. Firstcoast is embracing cloud-based business in the creation of more paper-free environments for our clients; Ephesoft is the perfect capture tool to achieve this objective.”

Ian Pope, Ephesoft Vice President of Sales and Marketing, EMEA, commented, “Ephesoft is pleased to be working with Firstcoast Technologies, giving rise to a strong alliance in the quick expanding African markets. Customers are price sensitive but demand advanced technology. Ephesoft and Firstcoast Technologies will strive to dominate this market segment.”
