BabeShredder Launched to Promote Female Action Board Riding
Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) March 31, 2014 -- Since the beginning of action board sports, the male gender has predominantly set the standards and controlled the progression of the sports within their industries. Women have slowly been acknowledge along the years, but have still yet to be seen as equally aggressive and talented as the men. This is what sparked BabeShredder - a company and social community dedicated to female action board riding.
CEO and founder, Ash Hannig, has been involved in both the wakeboarding and snowboarding industries for the past few years and recognized this lack of equality towards female riders across all board sports.
""BabeShredder isn't a feminist act; it is a movement to showcase how females can shred just as hard as the men and collectively push for progression within our sports," stated Ash. "Although we are fighting the odds, our sports are growing, and more and more females are joining our community. It is time that they have a voice too."
BabeShredder focuses on promoting positive vibes across all board industies - snow, skate, wake, & surf. While still in its early stages, BabeShredder already has the support of some of the industries top female riders.
Im May, BabeShredder is hosting the first ever all female cable wakeboarding competition in Arizona, the Peace, Love, & Shred Cable Competition. The event will take place on May 3rd at 5:30pm at Wakeboard Island, a part of the Bluewater Resort and Casino. This will be a welcoming environment for female riders who are new to the sport and also offer a challenging level of competition for more advanced riders.
