Nashville, TN (PRWEB) March 31, 2014
Good People Creative, the Nashville-based content marketing company, announces its 2nd Annual Good People Golf Tournament June 9, 2014 to benefit Songs for Sound. The tournament will be held at the Nashville Golf and Athletic Club in Brentwood.
“We made a 3-year commitment to Jaime and her team and we are very excited to have the opportunity to help raise awareness for this great cause,” says Cole Evans, owner of Good People Creative.
Songs for Sound is a Nashville-based charity whose core mission is to improve the quality of life for profoundly deaf children worldwide by providing resources to give them the chance at a mainstream life. The non-profit organization was inaugurated by Kevin and Jaime Vernon, parents of cochlear implant recipient, Alexis Vernon, who heard her family for the first time in 2009.
According to their website, only 10% of cochlear implant recipients report they received information about cochlear implant options from their hearing aid audiologist or hearing aid professional. Also, less than 100,000 severe-profoundly deaf individuals have cochlear implants worldwide, while there are 1.2 million candidates.
The charity’s goal is “to inspire a sense of philanthropy through music-inspired events, raise awareness and donation, and give back the gift God has given us.” It is their mission at Songs for Sound to inform the deaf community and provide resources for cochlear implants and rehabilitation, including speech/audiology services, to children in need, regardless of race, religion and any other criteria.
Good People Creative looks forward to supporting this amazing organization with their 2nd Annual Good People Golf Tournament. For more information, please contact Cole Evans at marketing(at)goodpeoplecreative(dot)com.
