Angie Echele, President of Retail Smarter, seeks to educate small companies about how to launch new products and how to succeed in large retail chains. Joyce Bone, of BLAMtastic, interviewed Echele as part of a broader effort to educate entrepreneurs about all aspects of bringing new products to market in today’s retail environment. The focus of the interview with Echele is brand marketing.

Ms. Echele and Ms. Bone cover key components of a winning brand strategy, from package design to social media to traditional advertising. BLAMtastic is a lip care brand developed by a mom and her tween daughters. Renee Sandler and her daughters Lily and Melanie began the business out of their home when the oldest daughter was just 10 years old. Five years later, the line is available in Walmart and the family has been named one of the “Ten Most Impressive Families in America”.
