World Renowned Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Renato Saltz, Attends ISAPS Course in Jaipur, India
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- Dr. Renato Saltz, Salt Lake City plastic surgeon, recently traveled to India to take part in the ISAPS India 2014 course. Joined by Dr. Nuri Celik, National Secretary for Turkey, their tour of India began at the esteemed postgraduate institute in Chandigarh, India. Acclaimed as “The Harvard of India”, the institute boasts some of the top doctors from around the region and the World.
Dr. Saltz and Dr. Celik attended as ISPAS visiting professors and joined a conference at the plastic surgery facility, listening to the residents analyze surgery cases. According to the Dr. Celik, the institute and residents, “showed a very well-organized approach and precise surgical plan.”
While there, Dr. Saltz performed a breast reduction surgery. Following surgery, Dr. Saltz spent the afternoon giving talks on an array of cosmetic surgery topics including breast surgery, facelift, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, and abdominoplasty. Dr. Saltz followed these discussions with surgical videos and further talks regarding patient safety.
In continuation of his tour of India, Dr. Saltz traveled to Jaipur for the ISAPS India 2014 course. Here, Dr. Saltz performed live surgery in Fortis Hospital, a private facility in the Jaipur area. Surgical procedures included a body contouring case, which involved an abdominoplasty and liposuction.
In the process, Dr. Saltz learned that abdominoplasty is India’s most popular aesthetic procedure. Unique to India’s culture, women commonly wear traditional clothing called a sari, which leave their stomach area exposed. After pregnancy and weight loss, exposing this area of the body can be difficult for some women, explaining the popularity of the procedure.
Both Dr. Saltz and Dr. Celik acknowledge the impact this experience will have on their daily lives in the individual plastic surgery practices. For more information about Dr. Saltz, contact his Salt Lake City office at (801) 274-9500.
