Love My Provider Launches Website as Resource for Parents of Children with Autism
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 31, 2014 -- Love My Provider today announced the launch of its new, fully featured website, http://www.lovemyprovider.com. The site serves as a leading database for families of children with autism and other special needs to find effective service providers in their area. Love My Provider offers a comprehensive database of special needs providers which have been reviewed by parents and provides the most comprehensive directory available online. The website was designed with the goal of being a “Yelp” for services related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other special needs.
“We are pleased to announce the launch of Love My Provider,” said Sara Gershfeld, special educator and founder of Love My Provider. “Having worked with children with special needs for over 10 years, I’ve seen the need for families to be able to find quality service providers.”
After months of researching the internet, working with non-profit organizations, parent support groups, insurance companies, service providers and special needs families, Love My Provider has compiled an extensive resource directory for the greater Los Angeles area. This database is broken up by location as well as the type of service provided, which includes applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy. Parents are able to search for providers on their own, while reading protected reviews from other parents and sharing their feedback.
While it was once considered a rare disorder, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that ASD now affects one in every 68 children in the United States, with one in 42 boys and one in 189 girls being diagnosed. More children will be diagnosed with autism this year than with pediatric AIDS, juvenile diabetes and pediatric cancer combined.
