Center for Discovery Bellevue Appoints New Program Director
Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) April 01, 2014 -- Center for Discovery, a national leader in eating disorder treatment, is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Michelle Wedig, Ph.D., to the position of Program Director at Center for Discovery Bellevue.
Dr. Michelle Wedig earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tufts University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with highest thesis honors. She earned her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Harvard University, where she specialized in the study of suicide and self-injury and maladaptive behaviors. For her postdoctoral work, Dr. Wedig specialized in borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Clinically, Dr. Wedig has worked in almost every level of care, from inpatient, to residential, to partial hospitalization, to outpatient care, and she has worked with a wide range of psychiatric illnesses. In 2013 Dr. Wedig began to focus her efforts on the treatment of those with eating disorders and found the work to be incredibly rewarding.
