Professional Photographers of America Raises the Bar on Photographic Education
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 31, 2014 -- Photography learning and business development has quickly found a new address in PPAedu.
Nearly a year ago, Professional Photographers of America (PPA) launched its new education platform to much fanfare. The program features online classes from some of the biggest names in the industry, who share tried and true techniques and business knowhow at no additional cost to PPA members. The benefit was quite well-received by members.
“PPAedu is second to none,” said Brekke Felt, CPP, owner of Felt Photography in Orem, Utah. “Everyone and their neighbors are offering workshops and classes, but I haven't seen anything that leaves me with more knowledge, fulfilled and aching to get out and do more projects like PPAedu.”
PPA, the world’s largest non-profit photography association hasn’t rested on its laurels since the launch. True to its “Be More” messaging, PPA has added new content to PPAedu each month. The program now features more than 250 videos, available 24/7.
PPAedu is a personalized, online education program that provides a full buffet of resources suited to each photographer’s needs. This learning platform offers eight categories—four business and four creative—to tailor a program that suits a photographer’s artistic and business growth. Each program delivers information clearly outlined with key takeaways to help photographers hone their craft and strengthen their business, based on their own needs and step by step.
“There is no service I've ever even heard of that gives you a survey, builds a list of your weaknesses and strengths and then delivers dynamic video training content,” said Mark Treen, owner of Treen Media in Kingsland, Ga. “This is simple but unheard of in the photography industry. And it's free for PPA members. The survey and content has one goal in mind, to make me a better professional photographer. Wow!”
While available at no additional charge for PPA Professional Active members, three month subscriptions are also available for purchase to non-members for $150. A free sample video can also be found at ppa.com/tryedu.
