Salem, Oregon (PRWEB) March 31, 2014 -- Avamere Rehabilitation of Salem – a skilled nursing campus located at 4120 Kurth Street S., Salem, Oregon 97302 – received the highest possible overall rating of five stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The achievement places the care facility as “one of the best in the nation” according to U.S. News and World Report’s Best Nursing Homes 2014.

By examining three specific categories, CMS applies a rating of up to five stars to nursing homes in order to help consumers make informed decisions when choosing where to receive post-hospital care. The categories examined are health inspections, level of nurse staffing, and quality of care. Avamere Rehabilitation of Salem received an overall rating of five stars.
