500+ Elementary Students Will Participate in SAE International’s AWIM Jet Toy Competition Next Week at Cobo Center in Detroit

More than 500 elementary school students from Detroit area schools will participate in the 8th Annual A World In Motion® (AWIM) International Jet Toy Competition, Wednesday, April 9 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in Hall B (Macomb Hall), Cobo Center, Detroit.

The International Jet Toy Competition, which is hosted by SAE International and sponsored by Johnson Controls, BOSCH, Kia, TRW and Pure Michigan.

More than 500 elementary school students from Detroit area schools will participate in the 8th Annual A World In Motion® (AWIM) International Jet Toy Competition, Wednesday, April 9 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in Hall B (Macomb Hall), Cobo Center, Detroit.

The International Jet Toy Competition, which is hosted by SAE International and sponsored by Johnson Controls, BOSCH, Kia, TRW and Pure Michigan, set up as a friendly competition where students (in Engineering Design Teams of 4) compete in distance, accuracy, weight carrying and timed events.

The schools scheduled to participate include:
