CapellaTax Network™ Survey Reveals Importance of Year-Round Tax Preparation with a Certified Public Accountant
Columbia, Maryland (PRWEB) April 01, 2014 -- CapellaTax Network™, the industry leader in pre-paid tax preparation and advice services, recently announced the results of its 2014 CapellaTax Network Survey of its Certified Public Accountants (CPA). According to the survey, 60 percent of participating CPAs viewed year-round tax preparation and advisory as very necessary for the average taxpayer, while 40 percent noted it was somewhat necessary.
“When it comes to your finances, taxpayers shouldn’t only consult with a CPA during tax return season,” says Larry Devitt, President and CEO of CapellaTax. “It is essential that during the year taxpayers work with a CPA to ensure that come tax season, all of their finances are in order. By doing year-round tax preparation, taxpayers can file their tax returns earlier and ultimately receive their tax refund quicker.”
The survey also revealed that 95 percent of CPAs said that they spend on average between one to five hours filing a client’s state and federal tax forms while the IRS reports that the average time burden for taxpayers to file their own taxes, ranges from eight to 23 hours. 80 percent of CPAs surveyed also believed that the service industry e.g. house cleaning and construction companies require the most assistance when filing taxes.
