Sirona Fine Art and international entrepreneur Frank Stronach successfully held a private cocktail reception on Friday, March 28th to celebrate the opening of Voka: Spontaneous Realism. The event, which was held at Sirona Fine Art in Gulfstream Park, gathered hundreds of artists, celebrities and renowned VIPs to showcase the American debut of renowned and celebrated Austrian artist Voka.
Special guests included industry leaders such as Robert Goodman, president of Art Basel; Alon Ossip, CEO of the Stronach Group; music legend KC from KC and The Sunshine Band; fashion photographer Dewayne Wise; agency chief Ivica Djurdjevic; gallery owner Gerald Hartinger; Reinhold Kiss and Reaimund Carl from McGroup; and Werner Stemer, Honorary Consul of Austria.
“I am delighted to see how many people have come together to celebrate and welcome Voka at Sirona Fine Art for his first large exhibition in America,” Frank Stronach, Sirona Fine Art and Gulfstream Park Owner. “Voka’s Spontaneous Realism exhibition has been experienced by thousands in Europe, and I am thrilled to now see it debut in the U.S. with such a positive response.”
During the event, 35 of the artist’s energetically charged paintings drenched in intense and unexpected colors were displayed while succulent cocktails and h’ordeuvres were passed around to complement the artist’s well-coined term of Spontaneous Realism. The phrase describes the dynamic creative process of his representational paintings.
“My inspirations are the everyday events in my daily life, the seemingly hidden, through omnipresent,” Voka, internationally renowned artist. “In terms of my paintings, the motif is not the deciding factor for me, but rather my motivation behind it.”
Spontaneous Realism by Voka will be on view at Sirona Fine Art in Gulfstream Park until April 24th. The exhibition will continue from the gallery on to a show in Paris at the Gallery Ariel Sibony on the Place de Vosges in May, and an exhibition in Los Angeles; both hosted by the McCartney Group.

Voka, born in 1965, lives and works in the Lower Austrian town of Puchberg am Schneeberg. He coined the term "Spontaneous Realism" as a trademark for his art. Voka defines this style as a revival of the significance of contemporary art, a valued tradition in a new era, with a new interpretation reflecting today´s spirit of the time. His distinctive style, emerging from the dynamic of the moment, enables him to strikingly capture immediate reality while the observer is able to palpably feel the imbedded movement.
