Pearl Seas Cruises Releases Shore Tour Information for 2014 Great Lakes Cruises
Guilford, CT (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- Pearl Seas Cruises (http://www.pearlseascruises.com) announced today the release of its tour options for the 2014 Great Lakes itineraries aboard its brand new ship, the Pearl Mist. Following extensive research of each visited area, the line has selected numerous unique shore excursions from which passengers can choose, each offering a different experience and highlighting the features for which the particular port is known. Most tours will be offered at no cost to guests and the line will offer select premium tours for an even more unique experience.
“Our passengers’ experience on shore is equally important as their experience aboard our ships,” said Timothy Beebe, Vice President, Pearl Seas Cruises. “Alongside our emphasis on creating a luxury experience aboard the Pearl Mist, is an additional emphasis on providing an upscale and enriching experience while guests are in port.”
Featured shore tours on the line’s Great Lakes cruises include:
- Niagara Falls – A full day tour from downtown Toronto includes a boat ride on Maid of the Mist for an up-close experience bringing guests within feet of Horseshoe Falls and its misty spray.
- Fort Mackinac – A quaint carriage tour will bring guests back in time on this island with no cars, while a delicious lunch at the Grand Hotel will satisfy appetites.
- Manitoulin Island – This Pow-Wow excursion includes a 30-minute narrated tour of the Island, a traditional dance and drum presentation, and concludes with a boardwalk stroll.
- Henry Ford Museum – Located in Dearborn, MI, guests will take a ride through 200 years of history aboard a Model T Ford. They also receive a Greenfield Village Ride pass for unlimited access on all historic transportation rides, including Model T’s, horse-drawn carriages and more.
Cycling and kayaking opportunities will also be available at various ports throughout each cruise.
“Our Great Lakes itineraries will engage our guests and introduce them to charming port towns and truly breathtaking cruising grounds,” added Beebe. “It is our goal to offer our guests a complete discovery of the charm and history of each port and to bring it to life with our shore tour program.”
Several of the offered shore excursions will be exclusive to Pearl Seas Cruises guests, often featuring private tours and exclusive access to historical sites. As an added touch, the line’s carefully selected onboard experts will frequently join guests on tours to offer added insight on the areas visited.
The Pearl Mist features oversized, gracefully appointed staterooms, all with private balconies and many with sliding glass doors, a spacious dining room, and various large and intimate lounges. Guests will enjoy numerous luxuries and amenities. See previous announcements on the new Pearl Mist and the upcoming launch of Pearl Seas Cruises here.
