RFID Global Solution Founder and COO Tom Manzagol Wins 2014 Washington SmartCEO Executive Management Award
Reston, VA (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- RFID Global Solution’s founder and chief operating officer, Thomas Manzagol, is a winner of SmartCEO’s 2014 Executive Management Award in the COO category.
The Washington SmartCEO Executive Management Awards honor outstanding C-suite executives who have gone above and beyond to lead their organizations. SmartCEO recognizes executives in the CFO, CIO/CTO, COO and CMO roles for their management vision, leadership, innovation, ethics and dedication to their organizations’ missions. An independent committee of local business leaders reviewed the nominations and chose the winners.
This year’s winners are featured in the March/April issue of SmartCEO magazine http://www.smartceo.com and were celebrated at an awards ceremony in March 2014 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. The 2014 Executive Management Award winners collectively generate more than $3 billion in annual revenue and employ nearly 15,000 individuals in Greater Washington.
Being a company founder, Tom Manzagol has had to be a ‘jack of all trades’. He has led virtually every aspect of the company, from operations to sales to product development and engineering. Manzagol has over two decades of experience in commercial and military logistics, RFID network solution design and implementation.
With three years as COO, Manzagol has overseen several re-organizations, providing key leadership to evolve the company from a professional and technical engineering services firm to a software and systems integration leader.
“Tom has been instrumental in setting the founding vision for the company, planning and overseeing our largest enterprise programs, and playing a key leadership role while the firm has undergone rapid growth over the last several years,” said Diana Hage, chief executive officer, RFID Global Solution.
Mr. Manzagol has personally led many of the company’s largest programs with Defense and Federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, and Social Security Administration.
In addition to his work accomplishments, Tom is a veteran of the Iraq war, having completed his latest tour of duty with the 82nd Airborne Division. He is the author of two NATO standardization agreements allowing multinational logistics interoperability, and has authored several articles on RFID in military logistics automation.
Jaime Nespor, regional president of SmartCEO media, said the purpose of the award is to acknowledge the role of companies’ senior leaders. “All too often, senior leaders in an organization are unsung heroes,” Nespor said. “This is why SmartCEO designed the Executive Management Awards. The 2014 Executive Management Award winners are not only leading their companies and co-workers to achieve great things, but they are also making huge contributions to their communities. We are honored to recognize each of these individuals and celebrate their accomplishments.”
