San Diego, Ca (PRWEB) April 02, 2014

EY today announced that Lori Steele, CEO of Everyone Counts has been named a semifinalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2014 Award in San Diego. The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Lori Steele was selected as a semifinalist from nearly 55 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 17, 2014 at The Grand Del Mar in San Diego.

“It is a great honor to be selected as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year semifinalist in San Diego,” said Lori Steele. “Everyone Counts is transforming the global elections industry from antiquated purpose-built hardware and error-prone manual paper processes to a Software as a Service model. As proven by the many high integrity industries that have migrated their mission-critical business processes to SaaS over the past decades, election administration and voting can now see greater efficiencies, auditability, security and access for end-users, all at a reduced cost. With Everyone Counts’ eLect™ platform the end users are voters, and the process is democracy. So these world-changing improvements are no longer optional. Being considered for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award attests to Everyone Counts’ success and leadership in driving these improvements and innovations in the elections industry, and I am honored.”

Now in its 28th year, the program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries throughout the world.
