Tansler Taps Former Head of Payments and Credit Engineering at PayPal as CTO
New York, NY (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- Tansler, the vacation rentals marketplace where renters can set their own price and book properties within 24 hours, today announced its hiring of Troy Saxton as Chief Technology Officer. A veteran in payments and eCommerce, Troy has led major technology initiatives at companies including Bill Me Later Inc. and PayPal. At Tansler, he will be responsible for the end to end user experience and delivering the next generation of the Tansler experience.

While at PayPal (a subsidiary of eBay), Troy led a 850+ Software Development team and was responsible for delivering products and services for their combined online credit strategy, including payments and credit on eBay Marketplaces, PayPal and BillMeLater.com on traditional commerce platforms, mobile and the x.com - Innovate Platform globally. Prior to PayPal, Troy was brought in to Bill Me Later as VP Engineering to transform the finance based company into a technology driven organization. Bill Me Later was subsequently sold to eBay for more than $1B.
Before Bill Me Later, Troy served on the executive team at St. Bernard Software as VP and General Manager of the LivePrism business division, a SaaS business unit providing several on-demand services via the Internet (anti-virus, anti-spam, email archiving, Web and Instant Message filtering) and the industry leading web traffic and filtering appliance iPrism.
Before St. Bernard, Troy was the CEO of Singlefin, an on-demand IT security & data protection services firm based in La Jolla, California. He previously served as CTO/CIO and CISO for Vistage International, the world’s largest CEO membership organization, where he oversaw all aspects of the company’s robust website, information management and technology systems and many of the operational support services.
An experienced entrepreneur, CEO and business leader, Troy has founded and led several firms in the technology industry including Rate Review Daily, MIS Corp, Business Computer Specialists, Coast Computer Technology, Executive Computers and NetConnX Technologies. Over the course of his career, he helped design and implement the first large-scale online system for the U.S. Postal Service and founded Rate Review Services – the mortgage industry’s first online loan rate information service. In addition, he has contributed to several books and magazines on technology issues and serves on the Board of Directors for several technology companies. Troy is also a top rated speaker on the Vistage, TEC Worldwide and YPO circuits. Troy studied international business management and computer science at University of Nevada Reno.
