Voices Against Brain Cancer was founded in loving memory of Gary Lichtenstein, a former Chicago resident and employee of Wolverine, who lost his valiant battle with brain cancer on October 1, 2003. Since then, the organization has garnered support from other brain cancer patients, brain cancer survivors, their families, caregivers, prestigious doctors and celebrities.
“Chicago is very special to us, as an organization and as a family, as it was Gary’s home until just before he passed. To be able to hold a yearly event in this great city is a major accomplishment for the Foundation and the local brain cancer community,” said Mario Lichtenstein, Co-Founder of Voices Against Brain Cancer and Gary’s father. “We are proud to assist in the fight against brain cancer and will continue to do so until a cure is found.”
