Telford, PA (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- Datalogic, a global leader in Automatic Data Capture and Industrial Automation, is pleased to announce the release of IMPACT 11.2, Datalogic’s industry-leading machine vision software package. This latest release of Machine Vision Software is now more powerful and flexible than ever, supporting the latest smart cameras and vision processors and providing a new set of tools for next generation inspection and sortation systems. IMPACT 11.2 allows manufacturers to increase the yield and throughout of their production line by utilizing machine vision technology in applications where it was previously too slow or too costly.
Sort Products without Barcodes with Pattern Sorting Tool
The Pattern Sorting Tool is a revolutionary pattern matching algorithm able to recognize thousands of different logos and other consumer good graphics, with unmatched reliability and efficiency. Based on a patented technology, this tool can easily solve sorting applications overcoming challenges such as random object position and orientation, perspective distortions, ambient light variations, clutter and occlusions.
Image Archiving for Quality Traceability
With the new Image Archiving Tool, images are easily transmitted from an IMPACT-based device to an external FTP server over Ethernet interface.
Color Image Stitching for Applications Requiring A Wide Field of View
This tool enables image stitching on color images, where it was previously only available for grayscale, as well as the ability to merge two or more pictures thus making image processing easier and more effective.
T49 Smart Camera Support for Electronics
The 11.2 release now supports T49 Smart Cameras, the 5Mpix CCD model of the recently introduced T4x-Series. T49 delivers extremely high accuracy and repeatability, making it perfect solution for applications in the electronic industry. M197, M565 and M570 Camera Support for Web Inspection. The new software release extends the range of cameras compatible with the MX-Series Vision Processors. M197 (5 Megapixel area scan camera) for high-resolution applications, M565 and M570 (2K and 4K line scan cameras) ideal for web-inspection.
“With these latest enhancements to the 11.2 release, IMPACT offers customers in both factory automation and transportation and logistics the ability to increase their production accuracy. This technology, previously unavailable due to cost and speed requirements, allows customers to lower reject and return rates which results in lower operating costs,” said Machine Vision Business Unit General Manager Donato Montanari.
