Orchard Place Appoints Nicole Beaman as Vice President of Orchard Place Child Guidance Center
Des Moines, IA (PRWEB) April 03, 2014 -- Orchard Place, mental health experts for Iowa’s children, has appointed Nicole Beaman, LISW, as Vice President for the Child Guidance Center effective March 31.
Beaman will focus on strategies to further develop the mission and vision of Orchard Place’s Child Guidance Center, a community mental health center for children in Polk, Warren and Dallas Counties. Beaman’s division has more than 80 children’s mental health professionals including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, and mental health therapists. Beaman seeks to enhance teamwork, increase community connections and maintain the high quality of care that is associated with the Center.
“Bemoans experience in Iowa with community organizations, strategic partnerships, program evaluation, evidence based practices and public policy work make her a great fit for this key position," said Orchard Place CEO Anne Starr.
Beaman comes to Orchard Place from the United Way of Central Iowa, where she was the Community Impact Officer, Health. In addition to the United Way of Central Iowa, Beaman also worked with the United Way of East Central Iowa. Her experience with United Way spans 17 years. She also served as an adjunct professor at Mount Mercy College and Kirkwood Community College, and worked as a program planner with the Iowa Department of Human Services.
“Orchard Place has always accepted such a stellar reputation in Iowa, and I’ve constantly been struck with their innovative approaches, forward thinking and most important, the positive outcomes they provide for families and kids," said Beaman. “I’m proud to be associated with professionals who are truly passionate and care about improving the quality of the lives of the thousands of children they serve.”
Beaman received her B.A. from Drake and a MSW from the University of Iowa. She replaces David Stout, who retired as Vice President after serving Orchard Place in this position for 13 years.
