FC Gas Intelligence: Rio Tinto Joins Over One Hundred End Users in the Natural Gas Fueling Discussion in June
(PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- Scores of end user companies in North America are actively engaged in the immense opportunity that natural gas fueling represents. High horse power pioneers have already paved the way for other end users to follow their success stories with natural gas fueling. Over one hundred end user companies will attend the June meeting to hear presentations from these pioneers as well as key LNG small-midscale infrastructure providers such as Stabilis Energy and Applied Natural Gas Fuels.
In 2011 the International Energy Agency stated that the world is entering “A Golden Age of Gas”. The USA so far has demonstrated the prerequisites for such a statement to be true – the abundant national supply, coupled with one of the lowest commodity prices in the world has encouraged industries to hail a new fueling era.
In 2013 diesel prices in the US were $4.00 per gallon, while LNG was $2.50 per diesel gallon equivalent (DGE). This proportionally lower price opportunity has opened the market to an entirely new fueling prospect for on road and off road vehicles and applications. In addition, LNG use reduces CO2 emissions over diesel by around 30%, reduced NOx emissions by half, and slashes sulphur emissions. For high horse power industries these reduced emissions offer a credible solution to the new regulations coming into the play in the next few years enforced by the EPA and other governing bodies.
The Natural Gas for Off Road Event (17+18 June, Houston) responds to this opportunity by offering a meeting place for end users to utilize the natural gas opportunity and learn from industry leaders. As well as end users there is an entire segment of the Off Road event devoted to small-mid scale supply. Leading small to mid-scale LNG developers, who are supplying LNG fuel throughout North America, such as Northstar, Applied Natural Gas Fuels, AGL resources will speak at the event. Natural Gas sector head Oliver Saunders promises the event to be a “one stop shop for all those interested in the natural gas potential for high horse power applications.”
The conference is organised by the reputable FC Gas Intelligence, who are well-known in the North American natural gas market event space. To see how you could get involved visit the event webpage: http://www.offroadnaturalgas.com/.
