Splice Machine Joins Cloudera Connect Partner Program as Certified Partner for Cloudera 5
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- Splice Machine, provider of the only Hadoop RDBMS designed for Big Data applications, today announced it has joined the Cloudera Connect Partner Program, after certifying on Cloudera 5, the latest generation of Cloudera’s platform for big data. Through its partnership with Cloudera, Splice Machine will bring the power of a transactional real-time SQL-on-Hadoop RDBMS into the world's largest ecosystem of enterprise Hadoop vendors and service providers, allowing more companies to build real-time applications.
“Our partnership with Cloudera enables us to power real-time applications, often replacing traditional RDBMSs like Oracle or MySQL,” said Monte Zweben, CEO and co-founder of Splice Machine. “We look forward to a successful partnership with Cloudera, where we can work together to maximize the potential of its full suite of Hadoop-powered software and Splice Machine’s unique approach to real-time Hadoop.”
Joining the Cloudera Connect Partner Program extends Splice Machine’s penetration into a partner network with more than 800 global members, including system integrators, hardware vendors, ISVs in the data management and analytics space, and scores of regional integrators. Splice Machine enables Cloudera users to tap into real-time updates with transactional integrity and standard ANSI SQL, important features for companies that are looking to become real-time, data-driven businesses.
“We are excited to have Splice Machine certify its Hadoop RDBMS on Cloudera 5, allowing us to work side by side to power a new generation of real-time, Hadoop-based applications for the enterprise,” said Tim Stevens, vice president, Business and Corporate Development, Cloudera. “We are seeing very strong demand for Cloudera 5 as enterprises increasingly deploy enterprise data hubs in their environments. Now that Splice Machine is certified as a Cloudera partner and immediately available, our customers can take advantage of the latest innovation from both companies.”
With Apache Hadoop at its core, Cloudera 5 enables an enterprise data hub by making it economically viable and technically feasible for enterprises to keep all their data in a single, centralized platform, from which they can store, process, and analyze data in full fidelity, for a variety of enterprise workloads.
Splice Machine has been working with its charter customers and private beta users over the last six months to validate use cases, test SQL coverage and benchmark performance. The company will be launching its public beta offering later this month.
