Hayes, Inc. President and CEO to Speak at Spring 2014 IDN Conference
Lansdale, PA (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- Hayes, Inc., a leader in promoting better health outcomes through the use of evidence, is pleased to announce that its President and CEO, Dr. Wini Hayes, will be a guest speaker at the Spring 2014 IDN Summit & Reverse Expo being held in Orlando, FL on April 7 to April 9, 2014. Dr. Hayes will be presenting jointly with Karla Barber, RN, BSN, System Director of Clinical Value Analysis, Centura Health System. Their presentation, Driving Cost Avoidance and Quality Improvement through Evidence-Based Value Analysis, is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. on April 7, 2014. Dee Donatelli, Senior Vice President, Provider Services, at Hayes, Inc. will be moderating the session.
“With the healthcare delivery paradigm shift from volume-based reimbursement to quality-based reimbursement, hospitals that document the highest quality outcomes with the lowest cost will attract the patients,” explains Dr. Hayes. “Thus, healthcare systems are looking for ways to reduce and avoid supply chain costs without compromising the quality of care provided. In our presentation, Karla and I will use real-life case studies to highlight the evidence-based value analysis process that Centura uses, with an emphasis on the strategies and methods that have enabled Centura to deliver world-class care and achieve financial benchmarks.”
The IDN Summit provides an opportunity for senior healthcare executives and their GPOs and suppliers to network and discuss ways to improve healthcare delivery by focusing on healthcare supply chain issues. To help supply chain and value-analysis professionals implement evidence-based value analysis practices such as those Dr. Hayes will discuss at the IDN Summit, Hayes, Inc. offers free resources for health care supply chain and value-analysis professionals in its Resource Center, including a series of complementary white papers that focus on evidence-based value analysis and its associated clinical and financial outcomes.
