The Spruce Foundation Announces Its 7th Annual Gala
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) April 04, 2014 -- On Saturday, June 7, at 8:00PM, the city of Philadelphia’s leading young philanthropists and change makers will come together to celebrate seven years of empowering the area’s youth. The Spruce Foundation’s 7th Annual Gala will be held at Union Transfer in Philadelphia.
The funds raised will support the nonprofit’s mission of redefining philanthropy and cultivating the next generation of philanthropists through community giving and grant-making in support of Philadelphia’s youth.
"This has been an exciting year of growth for Spruce, with more opportunities than ever for our donors and volunteers to meet and work with our grantee organizations, as well as attend events where they can learn about philanthropic giving,” said J. Rudy Flesher, Co-President of the Spruce Foundation. “We look forward to celebrating our impact at our largest gala yet."
Each year, at the Spruce Foundation Gala, the organization celebrates the work of its grantees. This year the Asian Arts Initiative was selected for the Spruce Foundation’s arts program area; the Attic Youth Center for its LGBTQ program area; iPRAXIS for its education program area; and Girls on the Run Philadelphia for its health and wellness program area.
This year’s Gala will feature performances by the Nimrod Speaks Quartet, a Philadelphia-based Jazz ensemble, and Swift Technique, billed as “Philly’s fiery funksters.”
