Alarm.com, the leading cloud services provider for the connected home, today announced an enhancement to its Video Monitoring service with the addition of a high performance, continuous video recording solution. The new solution captures a 24x7 stream of what’s happening at a property and provides cloud-based streaming and video clip access from anywhere. Alarm.com’s Video Monitoring service now includes continuous high definition recording, anytime live streaming, smart clip capture with secure cloud storage, and instant video alerts.
The breakthrough architecture of Alarm.com’s continuous recording solution efficiently delivers high resolution recording for one or more cameras with the tamper resistance and mobile access of the cloud. Unlike other continuous recording offerings that either choke bandwidth with constant uploads to the cloud or degrade to low resolution video capture and playback, Alarm.com has developed a solution that combines the best service with optimal performance.
“Alarm.com designed a highly efficient video architecture for continuous recording that delivers the great user experience that consumers expect,” said Dan Kerzner, Alarm.com’s Chief Product Officer. “With our solution Alarm.com’s dealer partners can bring an innovative capability that marries 24x7 video with cloud storage in a way that actually works for their customers.”
Alarm.com's new Stream Video Recorder (SVR) can capture a constant stream of video from up to four cameras utilizing onsite storage which is managed from the cloud. The device installs easily at the property and records a high quality video steam, while video clips are simultaneously uploaded to Alarm.com’s cloud for tamper-proof storage. Multiple SVRs can be installed to monitor a single property, allowing for both residential and light commercial applications. 24x7 video can be accessed from anywhere through the cloud, and makes reviewing footage simple with synchronized multi-camera playback, variable review speeds and timeframe compression.
The SVR for Alarm.com will be available this summer. Alarm.com’s dealer partners interested in more information can contact their account executive.
