Award-Winning Ad Exec David Witz Joins Engagement Studios, a New Philadelphia-based Creative Startup
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) April 03, 2014 -- David Witz, considered by many to be one of the most creative advertising minds in the Philadelphia region for the past 20 years, has joined Engagement Studios as a Partner.
Engagement Studios is a Philadelphia-based creative start-up reinventing the way people work and interact with their communities by building beautiful engagement campaigns that connect, educate and empower people through integrated strategy, media, design & technology.
David is a writer, producer and playmaker who never leaves things the way he found them. His vast cross-channel experiences bring a unique perspective to Engagement Studios’ mission to utilize media innovation to promote change agents and social entrepreneurism.
David spent the 70s writing for the Chicago Daily News and Rolling Stone while spinning actual records on Chicago’s WLS-FM. In the 80s, David won his first ad awards as a Radio Advertising Producer at CBS Records, New York. And in the 90s, he opened up his own Philadelphia-area recording studio, Sounds Serious.
In 2006, David became a Philadelphia Fringe Festival artist with the first Fringe podcast play, The Many Men of Martha Manning, followed in 2007 by its sequel, Martha & Dotty: Microwave Mambo! Both shows have since enjoyed consistent sales on Amazon and iTunes. Most recently, David served as East Coast Creative Director for California-based Agency 51 Advertising, where he worked on accounts as diverse as Comcast and Primo Hoagies.
