A new LSI whitepaper details how the Nytro MegaRAID flash acceleration card can provide significant database performance increases in MongoDB installations.

The flash caching algorithm in Nytro MegaRAID technology allows hot data in large databases to be quickly recognized, which helps accelerate databases. An LSI study found that when the Nytro MegaRAID card was used in MongoDB installations, it doubled operations per second and reduced average latency by up to 60 percent for a uniform distribution of data.
