GJEL Again Offers Summer Internship Program for Local High School Students
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 03, 2014 -- Building on the success of last year’s inaugural program, California personal injury firm GJEL Accident Attorneys (“GJEL”) will again host a summer internship program for local high school students, giving them a unique opportunity to learn more about the legal profession and gain insight into what lawyers do. Beginning on July 21, the one-week internship offers students the chance to experience daily law firm activities, learn the basics of civil litigation, and find out whether becoming a lawyer might be a good fit for their career paths.
“Not many high school students are given the chance to have an in-depth learning experience like the program we offer,” said Managing Partner Andy Gillin. “We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from last year’s program and are pleased to be able to continue partnering with local high schools to provide students with a realistic understanding of the many facets of the legal profession.”
In 2013, GJEL sought and contacted interested students from 28 local high schools, receiving more than 70 applications. During the program, students are encouraged to actively participate in discussions, and think critically about whether law school or law firm employment is something that they might want to pursue.
Students interested in applying for this year’s program should complete the downloadable application and submit by June 13, 2014. Please email internships(at)gjel(dot)com for more information or questions.
