Jeremy Burgess is running for Congress in Michigan's 8th Congressional District. Running as an independent candidate, he hopes to help solve the partisan gridlock that is prevalent in Washington D.C.

Jeremy Burgess officially announced today that he intends to run for Michigan’s 8th Congressional seat in Congress as an independent candidate. “Today I am pleased to announce that I will be running for Congress as an independent candidate in Michigan’s eighth congressional district,” Burgess said. “Like many Americans, I feel that Congress has not gotten the job done and I think it is time to make some changes.”

“The fact that over 40% of Americans identify themselves as independents yet there are no independents currently serving in the House of Representatives is very telling. I am committed to representing the interests of the residents of Michigan’s 8th district over the interests of the special interests and party leaders.”

Burgess is running on a platform of reducing the national debt, decreasing spending on foreign militaries and governments, and improving educational opportunities for Americans. More information on the Burgess campaign is available at
