Forward-thinking organizations like Butler are quickly realizing the need for more system-wide integration to enable that kind of value-add analysis, and we’re happy to partner with Butler to achieve that goal.
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) April 08, 2014
Axiom EPM, a leading provider of financial planning and performance management software for enterprises, today announced that Butler Memorial Hospital (Butler), Butler Health System’s flagship community hospital serving the counties north of Pittsburgh, has selected its enterprise performance management (EPM) solutions to streamline core planning processes and enable meaningful reporting to address its changing business environment.
Butler is partnering with Axiom EPM because of the ease-of-use of its solutions and its ability to deliver a single platform solution that drives critical reporting to management and budget owners. Butler is implementing a variety of Axiom EPM’s solutions including budgeting and planning, forecasting, physician practice planning, reimbursement modeling and dashboards.
“We are very excited to partner with Axiom on this business-critical initiative,” said Mike Davanzati, Director of Financial Services at Butler Health System. “Our previous EPM system required our finance team to do much of the budget process independently with limited visibility across other areas of the organization. With Axiom, we’re looking forward to streamlining key planning processes, eliminating gaps and gaining insight into where we can grow to meet the needs of our community.”
Butler sought to transition its spreadsheet-based budgeting system to deploy a much more strategic 18 to 24 month rolling budgeting and forecasting system. Previously, Butler’s finance team lacked visibility into the status of departmental budgets, making it virtually impossible to show transparency throughout the process and making it difficult to report to management and disseminate critical information.
“As a result of healthcare reform, we’re seeing more and more provider organizations looking to its finance department for strategic guidance on both the financial and operational drivers that impact profitability,” said Peri Pierone, Axiom EPM CEO. “Forward-thinking organizations like Butler are quickly realizing the need for more system-wide integration to enable that kind of value-add analysis, and we’re happy to partner with Butler to achieve that goal.”
