Queens University of Charlotte Launches Online MBA
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) April 07, 2014 -- Students from all over the world can now take advantage of the executive insights and personal guidance that the Master of Business Administration at Queens University of Charlotte is known for. The established program at Queens’ McColl School of Business is launching an online version, with classes beginning in fall 2014.
Combining team-based learning, personalized mentorship and ample feedback from instructors and peers, the online MBA at Queens is a truly transformational experience. Offered through the university’s McColl School of Business, the program provides one-on-one sessions with an executive coach, ongoing guidance from an alumni mentor and feedback on leadership through 360-degree reviews from peers and instructors.
In addition to a robust core curriculum focusing on topics such as organizational behavior, leadership development, global perspectives and analytics, students choose one of two concentrations. The Healthcare concentration explores the functions of business in the context of hospitals, clinics, insurance companies and other healthcare-related organizations. In the Leadership concentration, students get an in-depth view of what it takes to run a business at the top levels, with studies in strategic thinking, core governance and ethics.
Students also have the chance to interact face-to-face with their coaches and mentors as well as with faculty members, elite executives and fellow students via two residencies on the Queens campus in Charlotte, North Carolina. The first residency takes place before classes begin and will include a keynote address by retired Bank of America Chairman, CEO and President Hugh L. McColl, Jr.; a panel discussion with Queens’ Executives in Residence, professionals with established reputations as effective leaders eager to share their substantial experience with students; and team-building activities. The second residency occurs approximately halfway through the program and will focus on the professional development of each student with customized 360-degree reports for each student, leadership assessments, executive coaching sessions, a keynote address from a leading business executive and more.
As entrepreneurs, consultants, chairmen and CEOs, McColl School faculty members as well as guest speakers share their insights about what drives organizational successes and failures. Students leave with valuable hands-on information they can use to promote their leadership abilities and move into senior and executive positions.
