Fountain Valley Gym Fit Body Boot Camp Celebrates Memorial Day Weekend with a Fitness Charity Event Benefiting the Local Non-Profit, Patriots and Paws
Fountain Valley, CA (PRWEB) May 01, 2014 -- Fit Body Boot Camp, a local Fountain Valley gym known for its 30-minute, fat-burning workouts and rapid results fitness programs, has today announced plans to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with a fitness charity event on May 24th to support Patriots and Paws, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide active duty military personnel and veterans as well as their immediate families with home furnishings, and to unite them with a rescued animal.
Owners of the Fountain Valley Fit Body Boot Camp, Sam and Zenia Joyner, said that they were inspired to launch a fitness charity drive in support of Patriots and Paws because they believe that the struggles that both returning veterans and rescue animals go through deserve more attention.
Sam and Zenia Joyner explain, “We wanted to support an organization that helps the two groups we feel are treated unfairly and are not recognized enough in our community. We hope to give back to the veterans who have served our country and help rescue innocent animals. We also wanted to bring awareness that we, as a community, need to work together towards creating a healthier and more active Fountain Valley because obesity is a prominent issue in our city. We hope to inspire change through our community advocacy and fitness programs.”
Activities for Fountain Valley Fit Body Boot Camp’s fitness charity event include a 30-minute boot camp session open to members and non-members every half hour starting at 10:00 a.m. for a minimum $5 donation working towards a goal of $800. The boot camp will also be accepting additional donations and collecting household items for Patriots and Paws.
