Fidelity Communications Launches MLB Network in Most Markets
Sullivan, MO (PRWEB) April 06, 2014 -- Fidelity Communications today announced the launch of MLB Network, the 24-hour TV home for Major League Baseball, in most of its markets in Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana.
“This is great news. MLB Network is one of Fidelity’s most requested channels, and we are excited to bring it to our valued customers.” said Rachel Steinkiste, video services manager. The network is available in both standard and high definition (HD) on Fidelity’s systems.
MLB Network is being offered on Channel 108 in the MAXView tier in West Plains, Nevada and Harrisonville, Missouri and Hardy, Beebe, Shannon Hills and Maumelle, Arkansas, with the HD version on Channel 508. Texas customers in Marshall, Atlanta and Carthage will see it on MAXView Channel 110 and in HD on Channel 510. In New Roads, Louisiana, MLB Network is on MAXView Channel 116, in HD on Channel 516.
In all other Missouri markets, customers can view MLB Network on MAXView Channel 114, including Sullivan, Rolla, Lebanon, Salem, Gerald, Owensville and New Haven, and in HD on Channel 514. MLB Network is on MEGAView Channel 76 in Lawton, Oklahoma, in HD on Channel 476. The new channel is not yet available in Thayer and El Dorado Springs, Missouri, and West Pulaski, Arkansas, but will be coming soon, Steinkiste said.
MLB Network is the ultimate TV destination for baseball fans, featuring the Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight, live games, original programming, highlights, and insights and analysis from top commentators, including Bob Costas, Peter Gammons, Al Leiter and Harold Reynolds. Highlights from every games can be seen on Quick Pitch, the daily highlight show of record compiling all the best fielding and scoring plays from the day’s games.
MLB Network debuted on January 1, 2009, as the largest launch in cable television history and is currently distributed in approximately 70 million cable, telco TV and satellite homes throughout the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
