Tonner Doll Company, Inc., a staple in the collectible industry for over 20 years, is proud and excited to announce their latest partnership with Captain Action Enterprises to produce a new collectible figure of Lady Action, the British Superspy who can transform into any super heroine (or villain) via costume. The Lady Action figure will make her debut at the Tonner Doll Convention in Lombard, IL.

Tonner’s Lady Action Launch Party will take place on Saturday, May 17th at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center, and feature special guest Ed Catto, co-creator of Lady Action and “Retropreneur”: a man dedicated to bringing back old toy and entertainment brands for today’s audience. Mr. Catto will give an entertaining presentation about the backstory and history of our heroine as well as her male counterpart, Captain Action: the hero and the nostalgic brand.

“I’m absolutely a fan of Captain Action and Lady Action, and I am very excited not only to be working on this project, but also for our Lady Action Launch Party,” said Robert Tonner, CEO of Tonner Doll Company, Inc. “Ed Catto is an enthusiastic and thrilling guest, so I’m very much looking forward to hosting the event together.”

The Lady Action Launch Party is open to the public, as well as Tonner Convention attendees. Each attendee will enjoy a tasty luncheon and special guest presentation by Mr. Catto, and have the first chance to purchase the new Lady Action figure and an exclusive limited edition Wonder Woman costume just for Lady Action. Directorate international spy organization. She will next appear in the ongoing Captain Action comic series, Codename: Action, published by Dynamite Entertainment and Captain Action: The Animated Series, currently in development with Gang of Seven Animation.

“For a long time, we’ve been in awe of the gorgeous collectibles from Tonner,” said Joe Ahearn, co-founder of Captain Action Enterprises. “We’re so excited to partner with them to bring Lady Action to the marketplace.”

Tonner will bring to the partnership the unmatched quality for which they are known, as well as strict attention to detail, incredible articulation and the impeccable hand-crafted touches that have garnered them the reputation as THE high-end collectible craftspeople.
