Elcom’s new Product Director, Tim Kirkman says, "elcomCMS9 and our upcoming release elcomCMS9.5 are really driving for measurable results for marketers. The latest features are designed to help marketers deliver relevant information, to their target audiences, via their website."

A recent study by MarketingProfs and Content Marketing Institute published on the IAB website shows that 93% of marketers are using content in 2014. Highlighting the need for CMOs to really look at their content strategy and make sure they’re creating and delivering the right content, at the right time – or they run the risk of their content being lost in the clutter.

The idea behind website personalization is to allow you to automatically deliver content of interest to individuals within your target market and customer base. Effectively, you’re removing the clutter and providing a clear direction or journey.

Personalization can be as simple as remembering details on a site, facilitating quick login or reducing barriers to content download. Or you can move into more complex behaviour-based personalization, such as recognising a previous visitor to your site and automatically delivering relevant content based on job title, industry segment, or previous behaviours (that indicate areas of interest).

Tim says "we’ve designed a system that integrates with your CRM and marketing automation tools, or can do the job as a standalone solution. We believe this technology should be standard in all businesses, not just enterprise. Which is ultimately why we created the capability within our CMS, as well as building the connectors to Marketo, Salesforce, and more affordable CRMs like SugarCRM.”

Josh Anstey, VP Partner Engagement, speaking from Elcom’s San Francisco office, says, "we’re really excited to be able to showcase these capabilities at Marketo Summit 2014 this week. We know that the marketers there are going to be as excited as we are at this functionality, and can’t wait for the feedback to help drive our CMS to be more ‘personalized’ to marketers needs."
